The given maps illustrate the alteration of Islip town as it is now and its plan in the future. Overall,there are noticeable changes after the construction take place and the significant changes can be seen in the addition of extra facilities. Presently, there is the main road running from the west to the east. Two side pathways were there,
one
 to the southwest and another
one
 to the southeast. The southwest
one
 led to a school,whereas the southeast
one
 led to a park. On each side of the main road, toward the north and toward the south were the opened shops. The countryside is there towards the north, while towards the south is housing. There will be enormous changes in the future. The town will be surrounded by a dual carriageway. The original main road will provide for a walk only, which a bus station, a shopping mall and a car park will be there in place of the shops toward the north, while the shops towards the south will be unaffected. There will be a new housing area on the right of the parking lot and the park will be certain in its place but its size will be smaller to make way for a new housing area. The original housing zone will remain unchanged similar to the school but its size will be bigger.
