Today's teenagers have more stressful lives than previous generations. Discuss this view and give your own opinion.

Stress is one of the main issues in our lives. It can be caused by plenty of subjects. Some guardians argue that children have more stressful lives than decades ago. Because I strongly agree with
this
point of view, I will discuss it in
this
essay through 2 main points.
To begin
with, the younger generation is nowadays carrying more stress because of the advance in technology. With the new technology, the youth are constantly connected.
Hence
, they are bringing home the problems they had at school
such
as their schoolmates making fun of them with their smartphones and computers while a few decades earlier, that was not possible. With Facebook and Twitter, students can bully each other with hating messages which can be very stressful for children. I experienced it myself when I was 13 and that put me under a lot of pressure.
Furthermore
, the school level has changed and teachers are waiting for more from teenagers these days. Teenagers must complete honours their studies in order to find a job, which was easier to find a century ago. Some people might argue that the level at school was harder in earlier times.
However
, I strongly believe that children nowadays need to prove their skills by doing more studies and having more degrees. Taking everything into consideration, I agree with
this
opinion. Teenagers are stressed and
this
can be thanks to the new technology.
