Some people believe that teaching children at home is best for a child’s development while others think that it is important for children to go to school. Discuss the advantages of both methods and give your own opinion.

As we all know that
parents
play an important role in
children
’s lives,
thus
they are responsible for providing
children
with a decent
education
. Some prefer to have their
children
home-educated
while others believe that schools are beneficial to their
children
’s overall development. In my opinion, I believe that
children
will receive a better
education
in schools with various classes and social abilities. On the one hand, some
parents
would more like to teach their
children
at home because
this
can cater to their offspring’s needs and provide more specific
education
. Compared with teaching all kinds of classes in shoos,
parents
of
home-educated
children
are more flexible in choosing the knowledge to impart according to the kid’s actual situation.
Besides
, with fewer chances to get in touch with other kids,
home-educated
children
are less likely to suffer from bullying, which can secure the
children
’s safety.
On the other hand
, advocates of
school
teaching insist that the various courses and social environment are necessary for students’ growth. Schools usually can provide students with more comprehensive courses with more sources and advanced equipment.
For example
, it’s not likely that
home-educated
parents
spend an amount of money on buying a microscope for their kids to study biology courses, while
this
equipment is easily accessible in a middle
school
. What’s more, the student’s in
school
substantially developed their social ability because they have to get along with classmates and teachers rather than their immediate families every day.
This
basic skill helps
children
be fully prepared for their future. From my perspective, it would be much better for offspring to get educated in
school
.
Although
home
education
may cater to kids’ needs more preciously, there are more and more flexible policies in
school
for students to choose their suitable classes. While it will be safer to stay at home, getting along with more people and confronting problems are more constructive for
children
’s future.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
