Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing
this
letter to express my grief that I met with a minor accident while travelling on the KSRTC bus,
last
Thursday-18th Mar 2022. I was riding the bus 346B, travelling from Bannerghatta National Park to Arekere Mico Layout. The accident happened when I was alighting at the Arekere Mico Layout stop. Before I could completely step out, the driver started off the vehicle, because of that I completely lost my balance and fell off the bus staircase, resulting in a head injury. I rushed immediately to the nearby hospital and got admitted into the Emergency care. The duty doctor prescribed getting a CT scan report done. There was a swelling in the forehead and I was prescribed to take off from the work and rest for 2 to 3 days. I suggest that the drivers should be put through a safe driving training programme mandatorily every three months,
Moreover
,when there is a complaint about a driver violating the safe driving norms, the transport company should suspend the driver. I am looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you. Yours Sincerely.

Structure your letter

A letter needs to be written using a proper format, including the following:

  • A greeting (Dear sir/madam, Dear John, Dear Mr. Smith)
  • The main body (consisting of paragraphs for each part of the letter)
  • A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)

When writing a letter as part of the IELTS General Training Writing Task 1, it is important to include the bullet points presented to you in the question.

All three bullet points need to be presented. And remember that some bullet points contain more than one element. So, make sure to watch for ‘and’ and plurals.
