some people believe that countries should produce the food to feed their population themselves and import as little as possible. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

The opinion of people who believe that countries themselves should feed their population without export is quite common. I completely disagree with that opinion. I think imports are mandatory at the moment and shouldn't be downgraded. I do not agree with
this
 opinion , since it will affect the economy of the importer's country.
Firstly
 , the percentage of profitability from imports will decrease to a minimum.
For instance
 , it will affect prices and taxes that the state will levy on the population in order to provide for the industry. Another reason why I disagree with him.
Secondly
, if imports are reduced to a minimum,

 will affect relations between countries, and not only values but
also
 friendly ones.
Accordingly
, if Kazakhstan refuses to supply wheat and barley to Tajikistan, it will affect relations between them. The connection between the lands is strengthened by trade relations, it is impossible to reduce the level of import or export of goods, and

 will affect not only the economy and the gross percentage but

 the production of the merchandise itself. Not only the quality can change, but

 the quantity. It is impossible to destroy the already built industrial exchange of goods, especially if it goes to provide for the population of some people. Nations

 as China, the USA, Russia, the UK and other EU countries cannot refuse to import products, since these lands have the most stable economy, so they cannot refuse to import goods. Based on

 hypothesis, it is impossible to stop importation in the modern world.
