Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Playing computer games is a waste of time. Children should not be allowed to play them. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

In contemporary society, there is a very popular theory stating that
Children
should not play computer
games
which are considered wasting their precious time.
This
point of view has triggered public concerns and the debate over whether it makes sense or not has been heating up. In my opinion, I thought twice about
this
and now I would rest assured that I vote for the opposite position that kids should play video
games
. Following I will list the reasons in support of my arguments.
To begin
with, technology plays a huge part in people’s life. It helps people to have comfortable lives.
Children
also
are using benefits from technology which make them grow smarter.
Moreover
, they can learn a lot of knowledge from computers, even from
games
. My personal experience is a compelling example of
this
. About 10 years ago, I was a kid. I played some video
games
when my leisure time. I remembered the game I loved most is “Need for speed”, it was a car race simulation. I learned how to drive a car at that time.
This
affected me while I took the driving license test in real life. I was able to pass the test on the

because I have already learned driving skills and concepts in the game.
As a result
,
children
definitely can learn knowledge while playing computer
games
.
Secondly
, now the popular
games
most are online
games
which can let players link to each other through the internet. Kids are able to improve their communication skills and make new friends. Take my nephew, James, as an example. He really liked to play online
games
named “League of Legends”. I noticed that he made a lot of friends, one of them eventually became a close friend in reality. Based on what has been discussed above, we may come to a safe conclusion that
children
should get the chance to play computer
games
.
Although
some people may take hold of the opposite point, I still stand with my opinion firmly.
