While some people consider global warming to be the most pressing environmental problem which we have at the moment, others believe that deforestation has more devastating impact on our world. Discuss both sides and give your opinion.

Our globe is getting warmer day by day. As temperatures rise at an inconsistent pace,
this
raises global concern for the well-being of our
planet
. Us humans, along with a great number of other organisms, both living and non-living, live and depend on
this
planet
; it is our home. But what is causing
this
phenomenon? The answer to
this
question is Global Warming or Global Climate Change.
However
, others believe that
Deforestation
leaves a much larger impact than global warming. In
this
essay, I will discuss both views and give my final opinion. On one hand, global warming is caused by what is called the
Greenhouse
Effect. There is an atmospheric-like barrier called ozone surrounding the
Earth
. It is made up of
greenhouse
gases that are
carbon
dioxide
and methane. Like a
greenhouse
, these gases absorb heat radiation from the Sun and project it towards the
Earth
.
This
is how our
planet
is able to have life. Without it, the
earth
would be completely lifeless. Though thanks to
greenhouse
gases for making the
earth
a habitable place, too much of anything can lead to severe consequences. Ever since mankind started burning fossil fuels centuries ago, global temperatures have slowly begun increasing. It has been predicted that by the end of the 21st century, temperatures will have risen by an alarming two to five degrees Celsius .
This
can lead to habitats being wiped out, which leads to species going extinct, food shortages, etc. Polar bears in Antarctica have already lost their homes due to global warming.
On the other hand
,
deforestation
is the process of taking down
trees
in forests by cutting them down or burning them.

has been shown through research that several countries around the world have been doing
this
. Many things we use in our daily lives like furniture have one thing in common. They’re made from wood and wood comes from
trees
.
This
causes people to cut down
trees
. But like I’ve said before, too much of anything can lead to severe consequences.
Trees
are what give us oxygen. Through photosynthesis,
trees
absorb
carbon
dioxide
and release oxygen, unlike us organisms, who breathe in oxygen and release out
carbon
dioxide
. The
trees
are taken down by
deforestation
, so the
carbon
dioxide
that has already been absorbed by the tree gets released out into the air again.
This
contributes to the
greenhouse
effect and global warming, as
deforestation
is a part of global warming.

this
has

caused many animals that live in forests to lose their habitats.
As a result
, while some believe that global warming is a big issue in the world and others argue that
deforestation
is a bigger problem, I’ve come to a conclusion of my own. Both global warming and
deforestation
are big issues we are dealing with right now.
Nevertheless
, I believe that global warming leaves a more devastating impact on our
planet
because
deforestation
is a part of global warming. It is just a smaller contribution

Thus
, global warming impacts
this

more than
deforestation
