Spoken Communication is always more powerful than written communication. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

When it comes to effective
communication
, verbal interaction is a lot better than letter exchange. To me, expressing thoughts verbally is more helpful in conveying the intended
message
correctly compared to written expression to some extent due to many reasons below.
Firstly
, by talking verbally, a listener can feel our emotions through our gestures and tone.
On the other hand
, written
communication
lacks physical interaction and the recipient can often misunderstand depending on our writing style.
For example
, writing words in all capital letters may be persued as shouting and rude to some people while some can be neutral about it.
However
, due to our busy schedule, oftentimes we need to leave a
message
instead
of taking chance to speak personally. In
this
case, writing is advantageous to deliver the
message
faster and we can catch up afterwards.
Besides
that, by writing it down, it can be documented as

message
exchange and can

be avoided future conflicts especially when it comes to office work
such
as email exchange. In the 21st century, youth are becoming more and more used to it communicating over
message
rather than talking it out. But quality personal bonding can only be achieved through physical interaction rather than virtual
message
delivery. To me, we need to choose the form of
communication
wisely depending on the situation and
communication
can often be both. I believe that dropping a
message
first
combined with verbal follow up afterwards can be a perfect combination to avoid missing a
message
and make sure the intent is correctly expressed.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
