Many people say that globalisation and the growing number of multinational companies have a negative effect on the environment. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Use specific reasons and examples to support your position.

Over the past 3 decades, the number of multinational
companies
has increased in a tendinous manner. Those
companies
started to have a negative impact on our
environment
. They started to be unfriendly to our
environment
and their toxic fumes are continuously releasing toxic fumes into the air. I personally believe that the increasing number of multinational
companies
is a
threat
to our
environment
in many aspects. In
this
essay, I will discuss how these multinational
companies
are a serious
threat
to our
environment
and
this
threat
is haunting us
day
by
day
. To commence, multinational
companies
and firms are expanding every
day
. They are building
factories
every
day
and these
factories
are contributing a lot to global warming. The core temperature of our earth had increased by 4 degrees in the
last
10 years, and if
this
situation continues to uprise our earth will disappear in the
next
hundred years or so.
Likewise
, many multinational firms are building
factories
. These
factories
are not small.
However
, these
factories
are occupying thousands and thousands of square kilometres. The occupation of these spaces causes less space for trees to be built.
Therefore
, more carbon dioxide is released into the atmosphere, and
this
gas will not be released or removed.
For instance
, a recent study done by Harvard medical group showed that a single tree can remove about 3 kg of co2 a
day
. So can you imagine how removing trees can be harmful to our
environment
? In conclusion, multinational
companies
are a big
threat
to our surroundings and actions should be taken to stop their violent behaviour toward our nature. I firmly believe that they do more harm than good.
