For a formal letter there are two options for the greeting:

The future of our planet is a big worry, especially when it comes to environmental issues and how they could affect people's survival. Some people think that these problems will make Earth impossible to live on, so we need to find a new planet to live on. Even though this idea makes sense, I don't think leaving Earth is the only answer. I think if we work on fixing environmental problems with sustainable practices, new technology, and working together globally, we can make sure we can keep living on our planet for a long time.
