Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to complain about the water filtration machine which I bought at your shop in Nguyen Kim branch
last
Tuesday.
To begin
with, I bought
this
device in order to supply fresh water for my family and my newborn baby. When the machine was installed, the water came out yellow dark, and smelled awful. I read again the installation instructions and tried to reinstall but the result was the same.
Then
I called the help centre and explained the situation. One staff told me that they would send a technician the following day, but no one came to check. I would be grateful if you could send one skilful technician to my home to check
this
matter. I hope you consider
this
urgent matter. Yours faithfully, Emily

Word Count

IELTS says that you should write a minimum of 150 words in writing task 1. If you go under word count you will lose marks in task response.

A very long letter will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 160 to 190 words in writing task 1. This will ensure a concise letter and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 20 minutes to write the letter and you need around 5 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long letter in 15 minutes.
