You work for an international company, and would like to spend six months working in its head office in another country. write a letter to your manager. in your letter -why you want to work in company's head office for six months -say how your work could be done while you are away -ask for his/her help in arranging it.

Dear Mr Keith, I am writing to inform you about my desire to have training at our head
office
. During my tenure, I have been involved in various kinds of international projects that we handled through our regional
office
and now I feel it is time to learn more about project management since I have finished my PMP. I surfed the Internet to find out resourceful places which have
such
kinds of facilities. It has come to my attention that our head
office
in the UK is the most ideal place to be.
Nevertheless
, I will feel much more comfortable having trained there because it will be easy to exchange knowledge since we are in the same group of companies.
Moreover
, the techniques, the technology that they are using been the hub of our zonal offices, will definitely have something to learn. Personally, I believe as a territorial
office
, we should absorb these newer trends of business in order to concor in our kind. During my absence, Ms Bala will cover up my duties and she has agreed to do so. I have already given her a KT which will help her in the process. If something special pops up, I can assist her via email. I kindly request you ,

Word Count

IELTS says that you should write a minimum of 150 words in writing task 1. If you go under word count you will lose marks in task response.

A very long letter will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 160 to 190 words in writing task 1. This will ensure a concise letter and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 20 minutes to write the letter and you need around 5 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long letter in 15 minutes.
