advertising the novelty of their goods is to cope with the fierce competition in the market. There are many manufacturers in the market, providing highly similar

could help to build comparative advantages of their

could be harmful, for it could contribute to a wasteful lifestyle.

. A possible outcome is that those old ones which can still meet

' basic requirements will be laid aside as soon as

, which could be wasteful. In conclusion, the reason for

as new is to attract more
consumers
, while

kind of advertising may cause a negative effect on
consumers
' purchasing behaviour
