Many people use distance-learning programs(study material post, TV, Internet, etc.) to study at home, but some people think that it cannot bring the same benefits of attending college or university. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

Whether you utilize a
distance
-learning program or attend college or university differs on the purposes and situation.
Firstly
, if you are an international student who would like to attend universities overseas and just to obtain a degree, and it is not convenient to travel abroad,
such
as due to covid-19,
distance
learning is a very suitable method to achieve
this
.
Distance
learning usually provides different study times, which are called part-time courses. So even if you are still working, you can
also
choose time to study online. Apparently, the cost of
distance
learning will be much lower than attending face-to-face because you will probably spend some more money on the rental and local food, which are often expensive. Many people cannot afford it.
Nevertheless
,
distance
learning does not contain some advantages which face-to-face education can provide. The face-to-face method makes it possible for students to participate in curriculums and communicate with classmates directly. Attending school personally will give the students not only knowledge but
also
entertainment and some extra contents that
distance
learning cannot provide.
In other words
, attending college or university is not just studying itself.
Distance
learning mostly relies on the quality of the Internet, which sometimes is poor. If the Internet is shut down,
then
the course will be interrupted and need time to recover. And there are lots of distractions when students are in
distance
learning,
such
as TV, delicious food, running children, etc. around them, which sometimes discounts the quality of a class. So everything has its advantages and disadvantages. How to choose and what to do depends on your demands, cost, purpose, and the situations around you.
