Using computer every day can have more negatives than positive effects on young children. Do you agree or disagree?

There has been a controversy about whether
computers
are advantageous to our life. I think they have more positive effects on young
children
than negative effects.
First
and foremost. They bring convenience to our life.
For example
, due to technological development, there are various new ways of studying, and most of them rely on
computers
. Take me as an example. I constantly google questions and watch lectures and videos on my laptop. The answers are always shown promptly, and those videos impart knowledge and explain questions quite deep.
Besides
, whenever you still don't understand, you can watch those videos several times on your
computer
. At
this
point,
computers
don't only bring convenience, but they
also
create new ways of studying.
Second
, they bring entertainment. It's commonplace that a
computer
has multiple functions,
such
as films and
games
playing. For young
children
, a
computer
is a bonanza for them. They can use
computers
to play some
games
, chat with friends online and watch cartoons. When I was a child, there weren't many leisure activities; I could only either play some ball
games
or do some sports.
However
,
children
can enjoy countless entertainments on account of
computers
. According to some statistical figures, the time for playing
games
takes the biggest ratio, with around 60% of total time.
On the other hand
,
computers
have some demerits as well.
For instance
, there is a growth in the global child myopic rate; the
computer
is considered one of the main causes. A
computer
has rich radiation, which is detrimental to our health, especially to
children
. They are still growing;
therefore
, the damages caused by
computers
can be irrecoverable. In conclusion,
although
computers
have some demerits; I still believe they have more positive effects.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
