Currently there is a trend towards the use of alternative forms of medicine. However, at best these methods are ineffective, and at worst they may be dangerous. To what extent do you agree with this statement?

There is a strong attraction in recent times towards unorthodox medicine but the argument has been that the technique applied could present a fruitless venture and risky.
However
, I will choose to opine in
this
essay, that both herbal and orthodox
medicines
are relevant for human existence and a balance should be struck for the benefit of mankind.
To begin
with, complementary medical practice is gradually gaining ground in the recent era, especially in
third
-world countries. Many folks who could not afford the cost of therapy in conventional
medicines
are turning to complementary ones. Another reason is the fact that unconventional treatments are quicker and easier to access.
For instance
, one may not require to have insurance before accessing treatment.
Furthermore
, it has been known that the system applied in complementary
medicines
offer faster remedy than normal hospitals.
Moreover
, countries like India and China have developed many drugs and improved methods of curing diseases and ailments from the knowledge gained from oriental
medicines
.
However
, Western
medicines
have always been at the top of the echelon of options available to people when it comes to health. Because people do not want to compromise the issues of their well-being, they will do whatever it takes to obtain treatments . In these hospitals, tests are carried out before medications are administered, to ascertain the curse and extent of sicknesses. By
this
, it is obvious that the method applied for treatment are well documented.
In addition
, the instruments, machines and technology used by these mainstream medical practices are most modern and accurate. My submission is that,
although
the native
medicines
may present a more crude method of application than that of orthodox
medicines
due to their poor documentation.
Nevertheless
, they still contribute positively to the health challenges of people. The choice of medication should be left in the hands of the patients, as both methods are relevant to saving humanity.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
