topic, there are perspectives that after
children
attended school, the
teacher
's role is supposed to be more important compared to their
parents
in the terms of intellectual and social development. In my point of view, I disagree with
this
opinion, since
besides
academic knowledge, there are far more aspects contributing to
children
's growth.
To begin
with, it is undenying that
teachers
have remarkable influences on the process of developing characteristics and general knowledge during one's childhood.
However
, a
teacher
has a large number of students that they have to carry, not to mention their own family, while
parents
only take responsibility for their own kids,
hence
the time and attention a child received from their
teacher
rarely outweigh which one that came from the
parents
.
Otherwise
, kids usually spend at most half a weekday engaging in school activities, and all the remaining time is with their
parents
, so it is difficult to claim that
teachers
will have more effects on
children
.
Secondly
, school activities are obviously unable to meet all the requirements of comprehensive development of social skills and personalities of
children
.
Teachers
can help them absorb academic information, but except that,
children
need guidelines from
parents
to learn how to behave in society, enhance their soft skills, and take part in social activities. To sum up, despite the fact that
teacher
's importance is significant, the one who has the most influence on the growth of
children
is their own
parents
