You have read a magazine article that mentioned a place you are familiar with. There was a mistake in the article. Write a letter to the editor of the magazine and say What the error was Explain that you are familiar with the place Why it is important to correct the error
Dear Sir,
I am writing
this
letter to draw attention to the mistake in the article
published on 17th August. The name of the article
is "Heritage
hotel
in Jalandhar". This
Article
has printed on page 4 . The building image of the hotel
is not the original. It seems that pic belongs to the ancient palace of south India as a few south Indian language words are written on the building pillars shown in the magazine.
My birthplace is Jalandhar and staying in the same place since 28yrs. I have been to heritage
hotels numerous times to attend a few fairs and social parties. This
hotel
was constructed in 1939 and used as residential property by Indian freedom fighters. This
building represents the struggles, and sacrifices of the patriotic citizens who fought for the freedom of our country. However
,there are a few old letters, photo frames and electronic items preserved which gives us the vibe of sacrifices made by freedom fighters. On 1960, this
building has been acquired by one of the reputed builders and converted into a Heritage
hotel
.
I am astonished after seeing the basic error in the article
happened and thought to inform you. I would recommend to re-print the article
with the correct Photo because local pupils are still attached to the memories of the incidents that happened in the heritage
hotel
.Moreover
,this
place has also
been mentioned in school textbooks with the correct images.I will be looking forward to seeing a correction.
Yours Sincerely,
Rahil KumarSubmitted by info.rahil on
