Some people think that spending a lot on holding wedding parties, birthday parties and other celebrations is just a waste of money. Otherhowever, think that there are necessary for individuals and the society. Discuss both views and give your opinion.s,

Various
people
consider the expense on once in lifetime celebrations
such
as weddings or annual celebrations
such
as
Birthday
parties are just a waste of
money
.
However
, they are many other
individuals
who consider
this
as a
status
in society and a necessity of
life
. In
this
essay, I discuss both its pros and cons of it. On the one hand,
i

agree with the statement of high expenses in most crucial celebrations of
life
as weddings or
birthday
parties. Indeed
birthday
parties are not once in a lifetime but who assures the
life
until the
next
birthday
.
Also
, the wedding is a dream come true for most the
individuals
of the world, who wait for their whole
life
for
this
day and they earn and save
money
to have a good wedding celebration and make the better half feel special for the day. in fact for some ,
people
it's a matter of
status
in society they spend a lot of
money
which is a necessity for them to maintain business relationships.
For example
, A film star's son's wedding is very crucial for the father even if the son is not famous or well settled because it's being watched by most
people
in the world and their fans or friends in the industry. So, they are bound to have more spending and marry another rich family bride who can compete with the
status
irrespective of the wastages in the wedding
such
as electricity, food, etc.
On the other hand
, I completely disagree with the spending and stand with the individual who states it's a waste of
money
for the obvious reason,
marriage
for an instance is just about two
individuals
or say a
couple
and their happiness. Not a gathering of hundreds of
people
. One does not need to spend a tremendous amount of
money
to keep some
people
happy in fact they can make use of the same amount in an alternate way like the most memorable honeymoon trip which matters for a newlywed
couple
as it is once in a lifetime for most
people
or after a simple
marriage
use the same remaining amount for the future stability to invest in a house or flat or fix deposit the least which would definitely add an advantage or help the
couple
when their family increase from two to more.
For example
, planning a simple
marriage
with a destination wedding is the most memorable part for a
couple
as buying a car for their needs and investing in a flat purchase with some downpayment. To conclude, excess investment in a
marriage
is a waste of
money
for many
individuals
, most of them are helpless and cannot save in order to maintain their
status
in society.
Also
, there are many who need it as a necessity.

Aim for between 260 to 290 words in writing task 2. This will ensure a concise essay and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 40 minutes to write the essay and you need around 10 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long essay in 30 minutes.
