A company has asked your local council to open a factory in the area where you live. You and your neighbours feel that this is not a great idea. write a letter to the local council. In your letter, you should: • state what problems this might cause • explain how it will affect you and others • suggest what you want the council to do.
Dear Council,
I regret to write
this
letter to express serious concern about the plan to open a factory
nearby our community as this
could lead to health-related issues. In addition
, potential water problems may come up despite a huge river tank at our place.
As you know, the factory
will produce numerous products along with enormous raw-material consumption. Having said that, where do they dump all the waste? How can we run away from the polluted air which comes from the factory
? Furthermore
, we all will be impacted due to this
mass production. Hence
, we may not have the pleasant and blissful parks that we have now in our area.
Considering the above points, I would strongly suggest looking for a different place where it will be no damage to any one of us. If possible you may go to a remote place away from the village as well and for sure this
would be the best option to have a win-win strategy all the way.
I look forward to hearing your`s response to this
letter and I hope you will consider my request to move the factory
away to our community.
Best Regards,
Lakshmi.Submitted by lakshma999 on
