The line graph shows gym membership by gender from 1980 to 2010.

 Overall, the number of women was higher than men at the beginning, whereas it showed an opposite trend at the end of the period.

In 1980, women were just over 1000 in the gym, and

 gradually increased to almost three times in 1995, which reached a peak.
However
, it saw a decline to about 2500 in 2000 before going back to the highest level, which was approximately 2800 in 2005. It significantly dropped to less than 2000 after five years. In terms of men members, the amount in 1980 was double the number of women in the meantime, which was just over 2000, going up to 4000 in five years, while it experienced a sharply decrease to about 1700 in 1995, lower than the other gender.
