Mrs Barrett, an English-speaking woman who lives in your town, has advertised for someone to help her in her home for a few hours a day next summer. Write a letter to Mrs Barrett. In your letter: • suggest how you could help her in her home • say why you would like to do this work • explain when you will and will not be available

Dear Mrs Barrett, I am writing to you to apply for the part-time job in your home
next
summer, which was advertised in a newspaper. My name is Jason, and I am a student learning my master’s degree in the same townaasou. I once worked as a chef in a restaurant, so I can cook very delicious food. I
also
can clean the room. If you have children, I can
also
work as a babysitter to take care of them, helping them learn language or math. I like animals too, if you have pets, I can help look after them. I really hope I can get the job for two reasons.
Firstly
, I can use the salary to pay part of my tuition, so that I don't need too much financial support from my family.
Secondly
, it is the best chance for me to practise my English with you since I am an international student. I can work 5 days a week during the summer. I am available from 9am to 6pm during the weekday, I have to visit my teacher on Sunday, so I am not available on that day. I would very much like to work with you. I am hoping that you will give me an opportunity to prove my worth.   Yours sincerely, Jason.
