You have just read a newspaper article with incorrect information. Write a letter to the newspaper editor. In your letter - Report the error to the editor - Correct the error in the article - Suggest the newspaper what to do with it.

Dear Sir, I have just finished reading your article regarding the length of the newly constructed Highway-24. In your write-up, you stated falsely that Highway 24 is only 150 miles long.
This
information is wrong and can be misleading as motorists will make their plans according to
this
distance while in truth, the road is longer. The correct distance covered by the road,
however
, is 180 miles. I happen to be the engineer, who designed and built the said highway. You might want to verify
this
with the ministry of works and roads. The highway begins at broadway street,
then
goes around in a ring and ends at Loom road. In view of the above, I would like to suggest that you republish the article tomorrow, stating clearly what the mistake is and
also
spelling out the correct information. You might need to send an apology to those whom you may have already misled due to
this
mistake. I look forward to seeing the corrected version of
this
write-up in your newspaper in the morning. Yours faithfully Harry

Use a variety of complex and simple sentences

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.

If action is not taken soon on climate change, global warming will get worse.
