phenomenon may have caused, I will explain in the essay why I think the benefits are far more significant. Certainly, the proliferation of internet shopping has had some drawbacks. The major problem is the increasing risks of online scams. While online shopping offers us the experience of browsing and purchasing goods with more ease, consumers like us are less cautious while making payments, chances are we might lose our hard-earn money to irresponsible sellers, or even worse, scam syndicates. Another issue is that the quality of items purchased might not always meet our expectations. Since we are impossible to touch and see real products while shopping on the Internet, the delivered goods might differ a little, if not massively, from the advertised ones. In spite of the disadvantages, the benefits to individuals and businesses have far outweighed the cons mentioned above. From consumers’ perspectives, shopping online is more convenient. Rather than spend time commuting to the store and shopping, people, especially those who live a hectic lifestyle, can browse a wider range of products online within a short period of time, never mentioning the goods will be delivered straight to the doorsteps regardless of the size of and location of the stores. Whereas from business owners’ perspectives, they can reach a broader market by utilizing online shopping platforms, expanding their businesses to the national or international levels. In conclusion,
although
there are some negative impacts of online shopping, it is unequivocally a popular trend as it brings a lot of benefits.
Thus
, I strongly believe that if we use it wisely and with more precautions, online shopping is definitely a beneficial development for society.
