some people think that getting a degree from university is the best way to guarantee a job, others believe that it woulg be better is they go straight to work and gain experience instead. discuss both sides and give your opinion.

There is no doubt that having a rewarding
job
that could meet
people
’s financial needs is of high importance for the majority of
people
. Some
people
believe that attending
university
and obtaining a degree is a safe way to secure a good
job
, whereas some others think that it is more beneficial if
people
start working straightly after high school and gain
experience
instead
. In my opinion, both approaches have their own advantages. On one hand, there are a lot of positive points in studying in higher education and getting a degree in order to get a proper
job
.
First
of all ,there are a lot of jobs that require a tremendous amount of knowledge to be competent in doing them.
For example
, doctors need to be aware of human anatomy precisely , and by no means can it be conceivable without academic study.
Moreover
, there are sundry social benefits to having an academic study . The
people
who studied at the
university
are mostly very well-paid and they have high social respect among the citizens .
For instance
, surgeons earn a sizeable amount of money and have a very high social class.
Therefore
, studying at
university
and getting a degree is very rewarding and essential for societies and can lead to securing a satisfying
job
.
On the other hand
, going into the workforce and starting a career straight after finishing school could have a lot of advantages.
Firstly
,
people
are able to gain very sheer and indispensable
experience
and knowledge by doing the
job
instead
of studying the theoretical majors in
university
.
For instance
, a plumber who has worked for years and has gained
experience
is more capable than a person who only has studied the related matters in the courses and never has got his or her hands dirty.
Secondly
, having worked since an early age,
people
are prone to retire at earlier ages as well, which gives them the opportunity to live their life to the full ,while they are still buoyant and have the zeal to do so.
As a result
, working
instead
of attending
university
could have pivotal results in
people
’s lives. To conclude ,
although
some
people
are of the opinion that higher education can guarantee a successful
job
and career , others believe that it is more advantageous if
people
enter the workforce as soon as possible and gain
experience
. In my perception ,both methods have their own useful aspects and both are precious and necessary for the community.

Word Count

IELTS says that you should write a minimum of 250 words in writing task 2. If you go under word count you will lose marks in task response.

A very long essay will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 260 to 290 words in writing task 2. This will ensure a concise essay and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 40 minutes to write the essay and you need around 10 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long essay in 30 minutes.
