One of your friends is planning to visit your country and asking you for some information. Write a letter to him/her and say: o when the best time to visit your country is o suggest a plan for the travel o recommend places to visit in your country

Dear Alicia, I am excited to know that you are planning to
visit
my country. It's been a long
time
since we
last
met each other, but I have not forgotten all the wonderful memories that we enjoyed together during our college
time
. As you mentioned in your letter that you want to collect some information about your two-month
visit
to my country, so it would be great if you could come here in the months of October and November because these two months are full of festival celebrations so your trip during
this
time
of year would be entertaining and informative as well. I know you are even preparing a project on the Diverse Cultures in Asian Continent, so
this
visit
would really help you a lot to get

first-hand information about our cultures and traditions as festival times are the best times to show up one's heritage richness. It will be my honour to spend some
time
with you, so I am inviting you to come to my place first. So you can enjoy Dusshera

and Chakaria festival with us.
Then
, we will
visit
a few famous historical castles, and some modern-day buildings and shopping centres too. After that, you can

the Himalayan hills by visiting

to Dalhousie trip including various hilly stations.
Lastly
, I am planning for your trip to South India to explore the Bay of Bengal, and
finally
return back to my home again to enjoy the biggest celebration of Diwali with us via Rajasthan. If
this
itinerary sounds good to you,
then
get back to me as soon as you can so that I can make all the arrangements before you reach there. I am happy to catch you again. Best wishes, Alicia Liberty.

The letter has a warm and friendly tone, which is perfect for a letter to a friend.

Word Count

IELTS says that you should write a minimum of 150 words in writing task 1. If you go under word count you will lose marks in task response.

A very long letter will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 160 to 190 words in writing task 1. This will ensure a concise letter and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 20 minutes to write the letter and you need around 5 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long letter in 15 minutes.
