Dear sir or madam,
I am writing to express my interest in your diploma in computer science
programme
and apply for the next
intake.
I completed my undergraduate programme
last
month and started applying for jobs as an intern or entry-level jobs. One of the key requirements of the job role is that they are looking for someone with basic programming knowledge since the job demands a certain level of programming skills.
Although
I use computers on a regular basis for the past 10 years, I do not possess any certifications to validate my knowledge, therefore
, I would like to apply for the diploma course as it covers basic programming modules.
However
, there is a prerequisite for this
programme
which is an elementary course which includes
how to operate computers and other basic software such
as Word, Spreadsheet and Powerpoint etc. I have used them for my undergraduate programmes to write assignments and presentations and used spreadsheets for accounting calculations.
Could you please provide me with an exception to enrol on the diploma programme
without completing the elementary course? If you require, I can face an aptitude test which would give you clarity about my computer knowledge.
Looking forward to hearing your response soon.
Yours Faithfully,
Kyle WalkerSubmitted by Jay_Practise on

Structure your letter
A letter needs to be written using a proper format, including the following:
- A greeting (Dear sir/madam, Dear John, Dear Mr. Smith)
- The main body (consisting of paragraphs for each part of the letter)
- A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)
When writing a letter as part of the IELTS General Training Writing Task 1, it is important to include the bullet points presented to you in the question.
All three bullet points need to be presented. And remember that some bullet points contain more than one element. So, make sure to watch for ‘and’ and plurals.
