The line graph provides information about the changes in the pollution levels in London from 1600 to 2000. Units are measured in micrograms per cubic metre.

 Overall, the number of sulphur dioxide is considerably higher than that of smoke over the period given.
Moreover
, both exhibited upward trends in the early stages, whereas they showed dramatic downward trends in the late.

 The polluted figure for sulphur dioxide started under 50 micrograms in 1580 and
then
 went up dramatically to over 750 until 1720. Over the
next
 100 years, it experienced a slight decrease to around 600, before reaching a pick of 850 in 1850.
However
, after that, the figure dropped significantly and hit a low point of nearly 0 by 1995. 

In terms of smoking pollution, the number was the same as that of sulphur dioxide in 1580 and had a gradual growth, accounting for about 400 micrograms in 300 years. It is worth noting that after 1980, it decreased and fluctuated to the late nineteenth century, ending at close to 0 in 1995.
