Dear Mr Walia, I am one of the employees of your company writing
this
letter to apologise for missing an important project deadline due
last
week. I am really sorry for not completing the tasks on
time
. I am afraid to tell you that I was not in a good mental condition to take up the stress and workload for the past few weeks as there was a quarrel going on between me and my wife for a few months and she had filed for divorce. I am a dedicated employee,
however
, due to stress, I forgot to enter the sales data in the file and it lead to the potential impact on clients' profits. Due to
this
mistake, I had to update the whole project again. I tried my best to complete the work but my efficiency has decreased as I am having frequent headaches for some
time
. I really want to apologise for my mistake. I assure you I will not repeat
this
in future. I will devote extra
time
to my work and will not take the risk of losing the company's clients.
Further
, I will always keep my personal and professional life separate so that it does not affect my work targets. I hope you will understand my situation and forgive me
this
time
. Yours faithfully, Manish

Use a variety of complex and simple sentences

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.

If action is not taken soon on climate change, global warming will get worse.
