stress
can negatively affect our
lives
and ways to tackle
this
issue.
Stress
more often than not has a negative impact on
people
's
lives
. In our current society
stress
has become a hot topic, because is linked to a number of mental health illnesses. But why is
stress
so present in our
lives
now?
Firstly
, nowadays
people
are pressured from a young age by their parents and school to decide what they are going to do for the rest of their
lives
, we are pushed to get good grades in school in order to attend college and get a degree so that we can get a job, and so on.
This
necessity to have everything in place with no room for mistakes creates an unnecessary amount of
stress
from early on in life. He can make our
lives
easier if we just listen to ourselves and follow the path we want and not rely so much on other
people
's expectations for us.
Secondly
, now more than ever we define ourselves by what we do, by our jobs, holding ourselves to impossible and unrealistic high standards.
For instance
, we often work extra hours or in toxic environments just to prove ourselves to our bosses, leading to a bad work-life balance. One way to tackle
this
issue is to stand up for ourselves and prioritize a healthy workplace environment. In conclusion,
stress
is a prevalent factor in our
lives
especially because of the high expectations that we and society put on ourselves to succeed in several aspects of our
lives
. To diminish the impact that
this
has on our
lives
we should prioritize what we want and look for a good work-life balance.
