Some people believe that professionals such as doctors and engineers should be required to work in the country where they did their training. Others believe they should be free to work in other countries if they wish. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

A segment of society believes that it should be compulsory for skilled individuals like doctors and engineers to serve the country from where they have received their education.
By contrast
, others think that they have the right to choose where they should
work
. I agree with the latter view. Where
people
work
is definitely their choice. On the one hand, it is an undeniable fact that the training which is provided to doctors and engineers is extremely expensive and governments provide it for free or a nominal fee. It means that
this
study is indirectly funded by the
money
of local taxpayers.
Therefore
, professionals have an obligation to serve the
people
of the nation from where they received / obtained their training.
On the other hand
, highly trained professionals have their goals and aspirations. The main reason they want to emigrate is the lack of adequate opportunities in their own country. Without addressing
this
issue, it is not fair to stop them from moving overseas.
Also
, in a free world, everyone has the right to decide where they should
work
. If
people
do not like their workplace or the opportunities they have in their own country, it will reflect on the quality of the service they provide.
Hence
, in my opinion, competent professionals should be allowed to go abroad if they want.
Also
, many
people
who emigrate send generous amounts of
money
every month to their dependents living back home. India,
for example
, receives billions of dollars every month in foreign remittances.
This
money
is sent by Indians working elsewhere and plays an important role in the development of the Indian economy. In conclusion, individuals should have the right to live and
work
where they want. If better opportunities are available elsewhere, in my opinion, they should be allowed to grab them. Another reason not to discourage migration is the fact that migrants play a major role in improving the economy of their motherland by sending huge amounts of
money
back home.
