Some people think that higher institutions should concentrate more on academic subjects such as history e and physical science while others say that they should concentrate on practical subject such as mechanics and cookery etc. Discuss both views and give your opinion

Different
people
have different perspectives on
subjects
that are taught at academic facilities. Some
people
believe that focus should be put on academic
subjects
such
as history and physical science in higher education.
However
, according to other individuals, higher
institutions
should focus on practical
subjects
such
as mechanics and cookery.
Although
pupils can gain deep knowledge from academic
subjects
, in my opinion, schools should concentrate on practical
subjects
. These
subjects
can help
students
find a job. On the one hand,
students
can figure out their majors deeply. Unlike primary or secondary levels of studies, professors usually deliver classes at higher
institutions
. As a consequence, pupils can pursue a profound understanding of their majors.
For instance
, in Japan, universities often conduct academic classes to help
students
understand their major deeply.
However
, I disagree with
this
opinion
people
still can learn without classes at higher
institutions
because
people
can gain pieces of academic information from books and the Internet in the modern world.
On the other hand
, practical
subjects
can assist
students
to find an occupation after graduation.
Students
with skills have more chances for job opportunities because many companies prefer to hire
such
students
. To illustrate, in the USA, famous technological enterprises
such
as Apple or Microsoft would rather employ
students
with IT skills since they do not need to spend a fortune training freshers. One of the vital duties of
institutions
is to help
students
grasp a career after studying,
thus
I have to agree with
this
idea. To conclude, even though
students
can understand their major deeply as experts usually deliver lessons at higher
institutions
, I believe that academic facilities should concentrate on practical
subjects
since
students
can have more opportunities for job employment.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
