Some people say that only reason for learning a foreign language is in order to travel to or work in a foreign country. Others say that these are not the only reasons why someone should learn a foreign language. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Learning a foreign
language
can be a rewarding and enriching experience, and there are many
reasons
why someone might choose to do so. Some people believe that the main reason for learning a foreign
language
is to be able to communicate with people in other countries, either for the purpose of travel or work. They argue that being able to speak a
second
language
can open up new opportunities and allow a person to fully participate in and appreciate the culture of a foreign country.
However
, others argue that there are many other
reasons
why someone might want to learn a foreign
language
.
For example
, some people learn a

or as a way to challenge themselves intellectually. Others may be interested in the history and culture of a particular

and want to learn more about it.

others may learn a foreign

in order to communicate with friends or family members who speak that
language
. In my opinion, both of these views are valid. It is certainly true that being able to speak a
second
language
can be useful in a practical sense, whether for the purpose of travel or work.
However

believe that there are many other

reasons
can be just as valid and important. Ultimately, the decision to learn a foreign
language
should be based on an individual's personal interests, goals, and motivations yea that's it.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
