More and more people want to buy famous brands of clothes, cars and other items.what are the reasons? Do you think it is a positive or a negative development?

Success
is something everyone thrives for; nobody wants to be a failure in
this
society
. Frankly speaking, there’s nothing wrong with that. But, what exactly is
success
? For me,
success
is wealth, peace, health and so on. Sadly, for the most part of
society
,
success
is projected as “rich”. There’s a lot of difference between being rich and being wealthy. Millions of people these days are inclined towards being rich rather than being wealthy. Being rich has something to do with your properties whose value reduces with time
such
as clothes, watches, automobiles etc. You become wealthy by owning properties whose value increases with time. Though it is easy to explain, many people find it hard to understand it. Some individuals fail to even think about it. And
this
is the exact reason why most human beings are spending every dime of their earnings to purchase something expensive, for the sole purpose to look well off. Humans want to flex their costly Nike Air Jordans, and Rolex watches, but nobody is barely thinking about something long-term. Now you may say looking rich would earn you respect. I quite don’t agree with you as you are failing to understand the fact that the materials you own are being respected, not you as a human being. One must earn respect through his character, not from his exorbitant pieces as that admiration would vanish, once you lose every expensive item you have.
Nevertheless
, not one person must be blamed for
this
, we as a
society
should get out of the “false prestige” trap we all are in.As long as we live in
this
retarded rat race for fame, things really wouldn't be changing. Humans need to realise that there’s much more to life than these materialistic things. Start loving people, not things which are lifeless. Respect humans, not the expensive diamond ring they purchased. So, let’s come forward to make
this
society
a better place to live in.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
