You work for a small company. You need to arrange for some time off work. Write a letter to your employer. In your letter • explain why you want to take time off work • give details of how long you will be away • suggest how you will make up for the lost time
Dear Mr Smith,
I am currently working as a receptionist at the front desk at your company. I am writing
this
letter to illustrate that I want to use my vacation paid days. Moreover
, I am planning to visit my home country as I have not met my family for the last
two years, because firstly
I got busy with my academic work then
, my job takes my all attention. Furthermore
, I have been working as a full-time worker for one year.
Furthermore
, I decided to visit my parents because I miss them a lot and I also
want to use this
opportunity to travel to this
exquisite place which is known for its beautiful scenery and wildlife. Besides
, I am staying there for four weeks, so I am using my two weeks of paid vacation days and two weeks of unpaid days. However
, I can understand that the company going through its peak phase but, a few co-workers of mine decided to contribute to doing my work share and if something is left I will gladly complete it. Lastly
, I would really appreciate it if you could approve my vacation leave.
Thank you
I will look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience
Yours Sincerely
