In spite of advances made in agriculture, many people around the world still go hungry. Why is this case? what can be done about this problem?

Indeed, Starvation is one of the greatest threats to the existence of life on

this

planet, many people around the world still suffering from

food

shortages

in addition

to the lack of crops and basic elements of agriculture. In my opinion, there are a lot of many efforts that should be done to tackle

this

issue. It is worth mentioning that there are several reasons for

this

issue

such

as lack of the main utilities (water, electricity) which are necessary to any agricultural process, the weakness of logistic services for the far areas like what currently happening in the African countries and the absence of governmental funds for the agriculture sectors. Another clear reason is the huge waste of

food

in some countries each year,

instead

of recycling, using, or sending

this

extra

food

to the poor areas, many people consume more than their needs for

food

and other products. When it comes to effective solutions, we should sort them out into two ways, the

first

one will be the responsibility of governments that should encourage and fund the agricultural process in remote and poor areas in accordance with the United Nations, and the

second

way is to raise the awareness of individuals by explaining how to consume your daily needs of

food

in a wise way. Another persuasive solution is to impose a tax on products that have a high waste rate, in

this

,case we will guarantee the wise consumption of some products and we can end the extra foods for the poor states. To sum it up, we all should cooperate in order to eliminate and mitigate the reasons for

food

shortages around the world by addressing the roles of both individuals and governments.
