The charts below show the changes in ownership of electrical appliances and amount of time spent doing housework in households in one country between 1920 and 2019
These two charts illustrate different numbers in the ownership of electrical appliances (washing machines, refrigerators, and vacuum cleaners) and the total time spent doing household in one country from 1920 until 2019.
Overall
, the percentage of households holding from
this
country rose significantly.
However
, the number of hours doing the housework has shown a massive decrease throughout the years. The ownership of the washing machine started from 40% in 1920 before it was slightly receding between 1960-1980.
However
, it started to rose by more than 70% by the end of 2019. Despite
this
, the increasing amount of people that had refrigerators and vacuum cleaners reached the same number, specifically 100% between 2000 and 2019. As the increased of electrical stuff, the quantity of people that have done the housework shows the opposite way, it was undergoing a massive insurgence for 40 years between 1920 and 1960 and continued to fall until 2019. The sum of the decrease fell to around 35% until 2019.
