Nowadays, some individuals behave in an anti-society way, such as committing a crime. In general, it is the society to blame. What causes the anti-social behaviours of individuals? Who should be responsible for dealing with it?

Recent years have witnessed the staggering development of social stability. But ironically, we still see that anti-social behaviours are rampant, as plenty of people act in an anti-society way, or even committed crimes. From my perspective, the reasons are multidimensional, and some steps could be taken to surmount
this
issue. The root causes of
this
issue are various.
Firstly
, high crime and delinquency rates might be largely attributed to unscrupulous
media
. Some irresponsible
media
are saturated with excessive violence and pornography. Since some dwellers possibly grow up watching those content without proper guidance, they tend to be devoid of the competence to distinguish right from wrong. In that case, they are likely to imitate what they have seen indiscriminately, which can lead them to go stray and become jailbirds in the end.
Moreover
, the driving force behind those anti-social behaviours must be the
education
system itself. In some specific nations, students are likely to be evaluated only by their academic performance at school. Provided that they are not proficient in studying, they would be underrated, underappreciated and underprivileged. Some extreme parents will even deprive of their offspring’s right to accept
further
education
and compel them to work in adolescence.
Such
unfair treatment will possibly make them revenge on society to express their resentment and dissatisfaction when they are powerful enough.
Nevertheless
, many effective methods can be taken to mitigate
this
issue. As for the
media
, the government has the ability and responsibility to strengthen the enforcement of laws and legislations to have early intervention in those irresponsible
media
. The
media
could
therefore
serve its intended purpose and our society's stability can be enhanced.
Additionally
, in terms of
education
, schools could attach more importance to the students’ individualities. Those academically-disadvantaged students can be encouraged to receive a vocational diploma, rather than work around the clock at an early age. Under
such
circumstances, they would become more confident and grow up well,
instead
of feeling disillusioned with
education
and the whole society. In conclusion, the reasons for
such
a phenomenon are manifold, some effective solutions need to be adopted as soon as possible.

Support ideas with relevant, specific examples

Examples make your writing easier to understand by illustrating points more effectively.

Examples, if used properly, not only help you get higher marks for ‘Task Response’ but also for ‘Coherence’.

When giving examples it is best to put them after your main idea or topic sentence. They can be used in the middle of supporting sentences or they can be used to start a new sentence. There is no rule for where exactly to give examples in essays, logically they would come after your main idea/topic sentence or just after a supporting sentence.

Linking words for giving examples:

  • for example
  • for instance
  • to illustrate this
  • to give a clear example
  • such as
  • namely
  • to illustrate
  • take, for example
