The following diagram shows how greenhouse gases trap energy from the Sun. Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information shown in the diagram.
The given diagram demonstrates the greenhouse effect on the earth through increased emission of
carbon
dioxide
via burning fuel and decreased reabsorption of the gas
due to
the felling of trees. Looking from an
overall
perspective it is readily apparent that global warming is a vicious cycle which initiates with excessive production and unsuccessful reabsorption of
carbon
dioxide
which are the result of excessive burning of fossils and massive deforestation respectively. The sun is the greatest source of power to our planet, it delivers light, and
heat
in electromagnetic waves.
Heat
power derived from the sun is absorbed by the ground and water and they emit
this
power as
heat
rays again into the higher atmosphere making the earth cool and comfortable. Vehicles which use burning fossil as their energy source surplus a lot of
carbon
dioxide
, exceeding the limits that nature can handle.
Furthermore
,the exponential amount of
heat
emitted into the environment by factories
while
generating energy through burning hydrocarbons releases
carbon
dioxide
.
on the other hand
,cutting down trees that are natural detoxifiers of green gases has contributed to
this
issue in a critical way. These gases form a layer of thick clouds which obstruct the pathway of reflection of
heat
from the lower atmosphere to the upper, trapping the warmth within the globe and causing global warming.
