of new shops that opened both dropped from 2011 to 2018, with some obvious decreases during it. After decreasing dramatically from 8,500 in 2011 to less than 4,000 in 2012, the
number

shop
openings increased to more than 6,000 in 2014.
However
, it kept dropping to 3,000 by the end of the time range, except for a little rise in 2017. The
number
of
shop
closures first dropped to less than 6,000 in 2012, and
then
it climbed to the peak of more than 7,000 in 2013. After that, it plummeted to the bottom at about 500 in 2015.
While
it returned to normal in 2016 and levelled off at 5,000 until 2018. In recent three years, it was about 1,000 higher than that of
shop
openings.
