week, so I can ask his teacher if she is able to change the lesson time on the weekend. From next week, I hope the guitar class will be moved to before evening. If the time does not change, so I will find another room for the class. I promise that there would not be any more buzz in my house at night. I wish we can keep being good neighbours. Sincerely, James

Linking words are very important in your essay.

To score effectively on your IELTS exam, you should make an effort to implement short concise sentences coupled with linking words.

Almost every sentence in your essay should have a linking word of some sort.

In fact, the only sentences that can omit linking words are your background sentence and thesis.

Linking word examples:

  • firstly
  • secondly
  • thirdly
