Dear Mr Tom, Letter of complaint on the
apartment
allocated to me at Victoria housing estate. My name is Olayonu Oluwatimilehin, a student undertaking the English language preliminary program at the University of Derby.
Furthermore
, I am witting to inform you, of the broken boiler installed at
apartment
45 Victoria housing estate derby which I was allocated. As I expected a fully functional and quipped to the standard
apartment
, but I was dazzled by the low grade in quality of the
apartment
I was allocated, as it was small and to make matters unbearable it does have running hot water. More so, I expected an extravagant and magnificent
apartment
that is
best suited to the standard of what was showcased online at the point I expressed my interest in the
apartment
.
Also
, Inline with the great disappointment, I will crave your indulgence to kindly make adequate arrangements to ensure a more suitable
apartment
is given to me, as I can't accept
this
current allocation as it is below my expectations.
Finally
, I will appreciate it if
this
can be looked into and resolved speedily before the 12th of May, Best Regards, Olayonu Oluwatimilehin.

Structure your letter

A letter needs to be written using a proper format, including the following:

  • A greeting (Dear sir/madam, Dear John, Dear Mr. Smith)
  • The main body (consisting of paragraphs for each part of the letter)
  • A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)

When writing a letter as part of the IELTS General Training Writing Task 1, it is important to include the bullet points presented to you in the question.

All three bullet points need to be presented. And remember that some bullet points contain more than one element. So, make sure to watch for ‘and’ and plurals.
