Dear Mrs Bridie, I am writing

this

letter to inform you that I am not able to join your office on 28th February 2023, and request you postpone my joining date till the end of March. Actually, my

parents

have been living in Australia since 2016. Unfortunately, my father got severe pain in his heart

last

night, and my mother had to call for emergency help. He has been hospitalised since

last

night. They indeed need my support in

this

difficult situation.

Although

I have a younger brother who

also

lives in Australia in a different city, his master's degree's final term examinations are going on. That's why he is not able to assist my

parents

this

time.

Therefore

, we planned that I will stay with my

parents

for 3 weeks and

then

my brother will come for their help. I am planning to leave tomorrow morning and will come back on or after 23rd March. So I request you to extend my joining date till the end of next month so that I can support my

parents

emotionally and assist them in their daily activities. I look forward to receiving a confirmation letter with a new joining date. Kind regards, Sandeep Kaur
