The average standard of people's health is likely to be lower in the future than it is now. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

All around the world,
people
are now more likely to face
health
issues as compared to the past.
Although
some believe that it is the average
health
of
people
will increase in the
future
, I believe that it is the opposite because of availability of the fast
food
and lack of
time
for physical activities.
Firstly
, I believe that the availability of fast
food
is the main culprit of bad
health
and will directly affect our
future
generations. Obesity is one of the many outcomes of fast
food
, especially childhood obesity has seen a tremendous increase now. The vast availability of fast
food
chains attracts our youth and they tend to eat unhealthy
food
which will be the main reason for all the major
health
issues for our
future
generations. If convenience
food
is not available to youth, the children will be less likely to put in extra calories.
Therefore
, our unhealthy eating habits are going to have a long-term effect on our
health
in the
future
.
Secondly
, the busy schedule is another reason why our
health
will be at risk in the
future
. As
people
are busier than ever, they have no
time
to indulge in physical activities which is vital for optimal
health
. If
people
are not physically active, they may get sick more often.
For instance
, our youth is more inclined towards virtual activities as compared to the past when youngsters used to go outside in their free
time
.
Consequently
, the
overall
health
of
future
generations will be compromised.
To conclude
,
while
some believe that
people
will become healthier in
future
, the changing trends in the form of unhealthy lifestyles are the main reason why I believe that
overall
health
will decline in the coming
time
.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
