Write a letter to your manager. In your letter: Apologize for your absence and explain the reasoning Explain why you had to be at the other event Explain what you will do to catch up Write at least 150 words. You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Dear Sir,
I am writing
this
letter to apologise for my absence from the business meeting held on the last
Monday as I had to attend my grandmother's birthday party. I would rather be at the meeting if this
gathering was not that important.
Let me explain why this
event was so essential as my grandparents were moving back to India permanently, therefore
, It will become difficult to meet them periodically. Consequently
, I wanted to be there for her on her special occasion. Apart from that, If you check my record, I never missed any professional work without any solid reason.
However
, I will make sure not to fall behind schedule and catch up as soon as possible by communicating with other team members. As we also
have recorded a video of that conference so I will watch that to gain a sense of what we are going to do.
I hope you will understand my situation.
Yours faithfully,
