The graph gives information about the age of the population of Iceland between 1990 and 2020. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The bar chart illustrates information about the proportion of the global population among five different
age
groups in Iceland, from 1990 to 2020.
Overall
, it can be seen clearly that it was an upward trend for people with age
25-54, while
the older group
had the opposite pattern. Another interesting point is the trends of the younger age
group
remained stable over the period
given.
To begin
with, it is clear that
the population of the 25-54 age
group
started at about 31% in 1990, then
it rose significantly and reached almost 50% at the end
of the period
, which meant that this
age
group
had the highest rate among other groups over the period
shown. However
, people aged under 24 showed downward trends. Regarding the 15-24 age
group
, after the percentage began at just above 20%, the figure then
decreased slightly in the following years and reached under 10% in 2020.
As ,regards the elderly group
(age
above 54), which at just about 10% accounted for the lowest percentage at the beginning of the period
and the figure stayed constant after the following years.Submitted by rahmad.iriyandi on
