Some people believe that nowadays we have too many choices. To what extent doyou agree or disagree with this statement?

It is a common truth that we are fortunate enough to live in the age of unlimited opportunities and
options
. The
world
nowadays seems so vast and full of things to discover.
However
as promissing
this
might Sound, at what extent is
this
freedom really improving the quality of our lifes? Today, we are living in a globalized
world
, where everything seems to be So close to each other and so accessible to everyone. Information sourounds us and itfeels like we are asked to make choices about every little thing: from the dothes we wear and the food we eat, to the movies we watch and the cars we drive.
Moreover
,at times, the decisions we have to make are even greater • We have to choose where we are going to live, what we are going to Study or whether we want to have a family or not. We often take
this
world
of untles possibilities for granted, but
this
was not the case for the people many years ago. Life was not always an uncharted open road, but It rather felt like a one way road, for people before us.
Then
, the industrial revolution came, followed by the globalization, and we were suddently bombarded by new and Undiscovered
options
. Life became a continuous routine of questions. and answers. The variety and large number of
options
seem to afford us with some kind of comfort, but
this
can feel overwhelming at times. It becomes more More difficult for people to take decisions and stick to them.
For instance
, Let's say you want to have dinner. At
first,
you have to decide on which cazine you're going to have: is it Chinese, Indian or Italian? And
then
, of course, where are you going to eat? At home or at a restaurant? And if it's at a restaurant, which one? There so many to choose from. All
This
constant information has an immense impact on our mental healths: Mental disorders,
such
as anxiety and depression, are a sigh of our times and they are closely related to
this
heverending cycle of a stress and worrying. All in all, we understand that having the opportunity to make choices about everything is a great advantage of the modern
world
.
However
, when we feel that we are exhausted by
this
choices and
options
it would be good to take a step back and try not to worry about it.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
