The maps below show an industrial area in the town of Norbiton, and planned future development of the site.
The two maps provided show how much the industrial zone of the town of Norbiton will change after a redevelopment plan.
Overall
, after the plan is executed, the current industrial zone will witness a mass disappearance of manufacturing facilities and the introduction of residential and public buildings. Another striking feature is the extension of the traffic infrastructure and the reduction of agricultural farmland. The current T-junction at the bottom of the map will be replaced with a small roundabout. Travelling from that roundabout to the big one in the middle of the industrial area, people will see a medical centre to the left and several shops to the right. The factory
at the end
of the road to the East of the old map will be replaced by a school,
while
the four factory blocks on both sides of the road will be removed to make room for several housing buildings and a playground. In the meantime, the new road will be paved from the current roundabout to the northwest of the map,
along with
the construction of two residential buildings for citizens. Meanwhile, crossing the river will be much easier with the construction of a bridge connected to the central roundabout. On the bank of the river, the once agricultural farmland will be reduced to make way for the establishment of another residential building.
