Some children spend hours everyday on their smartphones. Why is this case? Do you think it is a positive or negative development?

It is argued that some
children
spend most of their
time
using
smartphones
.
However
, I believe that
this
phenomenon can be caused by a reason which can lead to detrimental effects.
Parents
do have not enough
time
to control their
children
. When
parents
are busy with their work, they cannot intensively monitor their child activities.
This
can exacerbate the situation if both father and mother are workers. Even though
children
, in terms of using
smartphones
, have been given strict rules by their
parents
, they can easily break the rules because they know that their
parents
will not pay attention to them.
For example
,
children
can access
smartphones
with unlimited
time
from morning to afternoon, when their
parents
are working.
As a result
,
children
will become reliant on
smartphones
for their daily lives. If
this
circumstance happens constantly, it will lead to negative developments for offspring.
Firstly
, they are vulnerable to suffering from eye problems. Smartphone screen produces much radiation that probably makes
children
lose their vision.
Secondly
, their academic performance is about to decrease. When
children
become addicted to using
smartphones
, they will lazy to study more about courses in school.
For instance
, rather than using
smartphones
to search for informative material, they make
time
to play online games. As consequence,
children
will get many problems with both education and health problem ,especially blindness.
To sum up
, I believed that the reason
children
be too addicted to
smartphones
is a lack of monitoring from
parents
which can lead to getting negative effects on both health and education.
