With the advance of technology and globalization, people nowadays are able to eat sorts of meat, vegetables and fruits imported from other
countries
all around the world.
Although
there are some drawbacks of
food
import
such
as costing a fortune and bringing threats to the local farmers, introducing
food
, I think, is a positive trend.
Due to
the rapid
development
of the way of transportation, it is possible for importing and exporting
food
. Water transportation can transport tons of foreign
food
while
air freight can quickly transport
food
to other
countries
in order to maintain its quality.
Also
, international trade becomes more frequent and the commitment of the trade agreement has promoted the reduction or exemption of tariffs, reducing the cost of importing goods and saving the complicated procedures of multiple audits as well. It is true that exhaust emissions and garbage lead to environmental contamination, exerting a threat to the environment. Another negative impact is that imported
food
usually has relatively better quality, so local farmers will not be able to compete with the international market, making them have less profit and may even stop farming.

, people can enjoy exotic foods which are relatively high quality and novel without travelling to other
countries

, it can promote agricultural

in exporting
countries

there are some shortages of importing
